An exploration of classical and contemporary sources help us to think through the increasingly widespread, emotionally vexing question of the place and role of non-Jews in Jewish communities. We will consider some historical precedents to the present condition and theorize options from within the tradition to grapple with the set of questions that inevitably arise. Sources are provided in translation.
