Roughly 2000 years ago, on the 9th of Adar (this year February 19), the initially peaceful, constructive conflict between two dominant Jewish schools of thought, Beit Hillel & Beit Shammai, erupted into a violent and destructive conflict leading to the death of many. Come learn about the history, texts and traditions relevant to this day, why it became a fast day and how we can turn this day into one of constructive conflict - to better ourselves & the world.
