Reason & Faith: Contemporary Biblical Criticism and Its Impact Upon Traditional Belief

The challenge of contemporary biblical scholarship to traditional faith is serious. Can one believe that a canonized text is divinely inspired given apparent errors of history, chronology, etc.? Several recent books have addressed this question. This session will look at these writings as efforts by diverse Jewish thinkers to assert traditional faith without rejecting contemporary scholarship.
