Medieval English Theatre mostly consisted of shows in church courtyards depicting biblical stories. Some of our best known Torah stories are reimagined -- Isaac keen to be sacrificed, commandments delivered directly from burning bushes, and an altogether human villain -- Cain ruthlessly slaughtering an impossibly perfect Abel.  Let us see how these plays can deepen our connection to our own versions of the stories, can challenge how we learn midrash, and can teach us about ourselves in the process.
